Method : lmmunochromatographic assay of pLDH and HRP – 2

Principle of the Test : The test utilizes two monoclonal antibodies as two separate bands  test strip along with control band.
                          pLDH positive and HRP – 2 negative = P Vivax
                          pLDH negative and HRP – 2 Positive = P falciparum

Sensitivity : Parasite level of 50 – 100 parasites / ul of blood.
